In a similar way to Shopify mobilising the masses into eCommerce, Matchfit Platforms brings the ability to launch an online Platform business into the realm of anyone with the idea.

As an early employee, you will help us shape our culture, and as such are a critical part of the team. We’re not interested in being founder dictators. We value disagreement and opinions as it helps define the path forward as much as unity and our team focus.


Your experience

We’re hiring people that can take Matchfit from tens of customers to tens of thousands. This means we’re looking for best-in-class early employees with relevant previous experience. You’ll need to get up to speed quickly with minimal training, and over time help to grow our marketing team by taking on a management role.


As a Digital Marketer, ideally you should have:

  • Recent, hands-on experience writing articles, helping documentation, marketing emails, and product tour videos, all while staying within a tight budget.

  • Knowledge of how to create a comprehensive content marketing strategy from your time at other startups or world-class software companies.

  • You should be able to hit the ground running and manage entire teams as we grow.

  • An understanding of all roles involved in product development—from product management to marketing—and the ability to explain how each one adds value to the business.

  • Excellent and concise communication so you can easily convey your thoughts, opinions, and feelings with other teammates, founders, and customers.

  • The right attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk, and uncertainty about the future that comes with working at an early-stage startup.

  • Experience articulating constructive criticism on all aspects of our product.

  • The ability to offer thoughtful opinions on important business decisions like fundraising, hiring, and establishing management structure if / when it’s required.

We’re quite flexible on part time / full time / contracting, and happy to consider personal needs.


More importantly than all of the above, we are focused on finding the right person to help us start our marketing discipline, help drive a sense of urgency and achievement, and eventually grow to lead the marketing team.
